Pay particular attention to several aspects of this form.
Movement is performed 45° to the centerline between you and opponent.
Notice the stance is a cross between a traditional back stance and cats’ foot stance. Weight slightly in front of the heel. At most 30% of the weight on the front foot. Keep back knee pointing as forward as comfortable, preferably 45° or less.
Keep the body upright and perpendicular to the ground.
As you practice the movements, work for suddenness. That requires proper body mechanics and movement from the waist, coordinated with the hands for maximum torque and acceleration.
Relaxation is key to explosiveness.
